2017 November Newsletter

The days are definitely getting cooler and the nights are coming faster day by day as we all start gearing up for the busy holiday season which is just around the corner. But as you start making your plans and filling in your calendars, please continue to keep us and our refugee friends in your prayers! We are excited by all that God is doing as we are see Him at work all around us! It's hard to believe we have now been in SC for just over 15 months! We know He called us to this place for this time and we look forward to seeing what He has in store! We have had a busy start to fall with many speaking engagements and training sessions to prepare for newly arriving refugees. It has been awesome to see God's people step up with willing hearts to love on the most vulnerable who God is bringing to our shores! We can't wait to start connecting newly formed "Good Neighbor Teams" with soon to be arriving families! Pray now that God would already be preparing the hearts of those coming and that they will experience the Love of Jesus poured out upon them as they seek Hope, Peace, and Love in their new land! We are looking forward to continuing to resettle refugees from Burma as well as the Congo. Pray that each family and team will be united together in friendship and be able to form a lasting community where God is glorified! If you have watched the news lately, you may have seen some stories about the Rohingya, a tribal people group out of Burma. These are the people we are ministering to here in Greenville. This past month, with the help of our 10th graders from First Baptist Simpsonville, were able to take about 6 families on an outing to a local Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze! It was a beautiful day and our families had a blast!

Dear Cross Bearers,

Please continue to pray for us! Your prayers and financial support are needed now more than ever! The past few months have been extremely challenging for us! Our current support has continued to decline since moving to SC! Help keep us on the field and consider becoming a monthly supporter in any amount! There are several ways to give that are all tax deductible! In addition to donating through our NAMB Ministry Partner Page, you can also donate through Calvary Baptist Church in Winston Salem NC or through First Baptist Simpsonville in SC.

Checks can be made out to Calvary Baptist Church and mailed to:

Calvary Baptist Church

Attention Business Office

5000 Country Club Road

Winston Salem, NC 27104

(Make sure to put Tim and Jody Cross or Open Arms in the memo section of the check)

First Baptist Simpsonville folks are now able to donate through the FBSimpsonville website or App! Just choose Downtown campus and then look for Open Arms in the drop down menu!

Thank you all for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support!
